David Pereira born in Vigo/Spain on November 7th 1990 is a multidisciplinary circus artist, dancer, actor and performance artist. Even though he doesn’t like labels. David’s artistic journey began at the age of 12 with classical ballet and went on at age 14 moving to acrobatic sports where he was 4 times Spanish champion and 1 champion of the Spanish Cup. At the age of 18 he performed with Cirque du Soleil in Lecce/Italy for the White Night. It was there, in front of a human wave, where he understood that being on stage was his call. After this event David left Vigo and went to Fuerteventura to perform in hotels for the summer season where he met Base Berlin, a collaboration of artists, which offered David the opportunity of creating together ‘Twilight’, an iconic circus piece performed with a shopping cart which has been performed all over the world including Cirque de Demain Festival. This act gave David recognition for his movement, originality, feeling, style and technique. "David Pereira leaves the audience speechless” "The originality behind his performances make them exceptional” "His skills as both dancer and acrobat are extreme, sublime and beautiful”. David played Twilight first at GOP Varieté and also Teddy Awards (Berlinale). After years of performing all over the world with Twilight and creating new acts with his own personal style and character (Hula Hoop on High Heels, Shaving Act, Aerial Disco Ball, Water Bowl...) at age 22 he was offered to have his own show with guests at the Wintergarten Berlin, this show was created together with Base Berlin: David Pereira’s Trip, a cabaret show which played 4 times per year during 4 consecutive years at the renowned venue. The Trip was named best show 2013 in Berlin by Siegessaule Magazine, and over 100 artists selected by David have been with him on stage in that show alone. The Trip went on to play in Melbourne at The Famous Spiegeltent with a sold out run and acclaimed by the critic, Sziget Festival in Budapest, and GOP Varieté Hannover.
